Heartbleed Bug: Message for WCB Clients

As you have likely heard in the news, websites around the world have been exposed to the Heartbleed bug, which can compromise the security of web-based communications and transactions.  For the protection our clients and the integrity of our online systems, the WCB temporarily shut down our website and Online Services yesterday to put preventative measures in place strengthen our web security. 

 

As an additional precaution, all Online Services users will be automatically prompted to change their password the next time they sign in.

 

The WCB considers privacy and security utmost priorities.  We will continue to monitor this situation and be diligent in minimizing the risk of the Heartbleed bug to our clients The WCB is committed to service excellence for Island workers and employers and the assurance that their security is protected.
