The WCB’s 2025 Annual General Meeting will take place online on June 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The meeting will kick off with a presentation on the psychological injury compensation coverage, followed by highlights from the WCB’s 2024 Annual Report.

Protect Yourself from Asbestos Exposure

April 1-7 is Global Asbestos Awareness Week. When materials containing asbestos are disturbed, fine fibres are released into the air. Without proper precautions, these fibres can be inhaled into the lungs. Over-exposure to asbestos can lead to lung inflammation, scarring, and chronic breathing problems. In severe cases, asbestos-related diseases such as asbestosis, lung cancer, and plural or peritoneal mesothelioma can develop. Don’t become the worst-case scenario.
