Have Your Voice Heard

Have your voice heard! We are currently inviting stakeholder input on the proposed changes to the policy Pre-Existing Conditions (POL-61). The goal of these changes is to provide clarity on how claims involving pre-existing conditions are adjudicated and to bring WCB PEI coverage for aggravations of pre-existing condition in line with all other Canadian jurisdictions. The policy is open for consultation until October 30, 2026. Review the full policy and share your thoughts.

Do you know your rights as a worker? As a worker in PEI, you have: The right to know about health and safety issues in your workplace. The right to participate in keeping the workplace safe. The right to refuse unsafe or unhealthy work. If you believe a task or situation is dangerous, report it to your supervisor immediately and go to a safe space in the workplace. Understanding your rights and responsibilities is an important part of creating safer workplaces. Learn more about the work refusal process.
