Filing an Employer's Report
As an employer, how do I report a work-related injury or illness? Report the injury or illness to the WCB within three days of being notified by the worker by using the WCB’s Online Services at wcb.pe.ca. Or, you can fill out the Employer’s Report available on the WCB website or the WCB office and submit it by email at workerservices@wcb.pe.ca The Employer’s Report must be submitted even if the worker has not missed time from work. The Employer’s Report is also required whether the worker chooses to file a claim or not. As required by law, immediately report all serious work-related injuries or explosions by calling the 24-hour Occupational Health and Safety Emergency Line at 902-628-7513. Make sure you and your workers are aware of what to do by displaying the “Hurt At Work? Here’s What to Do” poster at your workplace. The poster is available in English, French, Punjabi, Chinese simplified, Filipino and Spanish.

The WCB partners with Wounded Warriors Canada to Strengthen Psychological Health Supports for Trauma Exposed Professionals
Charlottetown, April 9, 2026 – The Workers Compensation Board (WCB) is strengthening its commitment to the psychological health and safety of Trauma Exposed Professionals through a partnership with Wounded Warriors Canada, a national leader in trauma-informed mental health services for Trauma Exposed Professionals and their family members. “We’re proud to partner with Wounded Warriors Canada,” said Dan Campbell, CEO of the WCB. “We recognize that the needs of injured workers are constantly evolving and that psychological injuries require adapted programs and services. This partnership will help enhance the supports available to injured workers in their journey to recovery and is an important step forward in strengthening how we support psychological health across our organization and for the workers that we serve.” As part of the agreement, WCB team members will participate in ongoing trauma resiliency and informed training led by Wounded Warriors Canada. Team members have already participated in the Basics of Trauma workshop, and more training has been planned this spring. “This is another significant milestone for Wounded Warriors Canada in Atlantic Canada and, ultimately, for those we serve. Our partnership with WCB PEI speaks to the power of collaboration and a shared commitment to helping ensure our injured Trauma-Exposed Professionals receive the culturally specific mental health supports they need and deserve,” says Scott Maxwell, Chief Executive Officer of Wounded Warriors Canada. “We look forward to building on our work underway and supporting the WCB PEI’s program to best serve those who keep the province safe.” Wounded Warriors Canada is a national not-for profit organization dedicated to serving trauma-exposed organizations, trauma-exposed professionals and their families. It specializes in providing culturally informed services that use a combination of education, counselling and training to support resiliency and recovery from post-trauma injuries. In addition to the partnership, Wounded Warriors Canada is co-hosting the 2026 Atlantic Canada First Responders’ Mental Health Conference in Charlottetown, June 2-3. The conference brings representatives from across the public safety sector together to learn about best practices related to research, training, clinical interventions, organizational supports, and individual and family-based care.
