The WCB has developed a list of companies that provide occupational health and safety (OHS) services in Atlantic Canada.
Before hiring an OHS service provider, we recommend that you read this document on determining a Service Provider's Qualifications.
Please note that the WCB is unable to endorse or recommend any provider.
If you’re planning a home construction or renovation project, the OHS Division has developed a practical resource to help you make informed decisions. It includes questions to ask a potential contractor and important health and safety information about asbestos, electrical work, and working at heights.
Homeowners must also understand that if their home is undergoing construction or renovation, it’s now considered a workplace under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. This means that homeowners must take all reasonable steps to protect the health and safety of the workers on their property.
